Friends of Allonby Canoe Club Liverpool is, as our name implies, a friendly club that always welcomes new members young and old (and every age in between), and paddlers of all ability levels from absolute novices to world champions.
Approximately 30% of our members are currently under 18, and we have lots of family groups who regularly paddle with us. Our 2015 memberships are as follows:
|Full (aged 18 and over)||£40|
|Junior (under 18 on 1 Jan). If under 16 a parent must also be a member.||£30|
|Family (2 adults and children under 18)||£70|
|Affiliated group, eg. Scout, Guide or Cadet groups or Universities competing in our Polo League.
must be accompanied by their Leader(s). Separate per-person session fees will be payable to Club contact. Individuals wishing to paddle outside their Affiliated Group are expected to have their own membership.
|Non paddling administrator (parents/spouses who wish to help the Club but don't fancy getting wet)||£0|
The Membership Year runs from 1st April to 31st March, but members joining for the first time after 1st January will automatically join for the following year (i.e. up to 15 months). For new members, these membership fees include a joining fee of £10 which is not repeated upon renewal the following year if you pay before the end of April.
What do I get for my membership?
The annual membership covers use of our Collingwood Dock facility (hosted by City of Liverpool College/Glaciere Maritime Academy) and connected waters throughout the year (subject to prevailing safety / supervision requirements), use of the Centre's changing rooms, showers, heads (toilets) and galley, and free use of the Club's boats and equipment for organised Club sessions.
Also you can join in with club river trips, pool sessions (Speke pool and Bootle pool) and join in with club members participating in competitions e.g. river races, canoe polo and slalom.
We don't charge for coaching within the Club or for organised trips, but modest session fees are payable to cover the cost of Pool hire for our indoor general coaching, and polo coaching / games, sessions held during the winter months.
