24th Liverpool International Canoe Polo Tournament

Please accept this as an invitation to come and join us in this our

24th Year of the Canoe Polo Internationals here in Liverpool

After our return last year we are more than pleased that we are able to continue to run our event at the renowned World Heritage site the Albert Dock.

The event is run over a 4 pitch facility and caters for all ability levels. Dependent on the interest and entry level we shall run leagues for Ladies, Open, Youth U 18 on or after 1st May 1994 and U16 s on or after 1st May 1996 with separate class prizes.

Whilst costs will apply for parking at the venue and the use of our campsite those fees will be kept to the minimum and only reflect what we have to cover.

The Albert Dock facility has always been and even more so now an excellent   opportunity to showcase our sport. With the Liverpool One shopping precinct within sight we expect to generate a lot of interest. Whilst the programme has yet to be published we expect there will be a number of other events running in the Albert Dock and its surrounds over the weekend.

FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR SOME YEARS OUR EVENT RUNS UNDER AND AS PART OF THE RE VAMPED MERSEY RIVER FESTIVAL, SO YOU CAN EXPECT A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT AND VARIED BOTH QUAYSIDE AND ON WATER ACTIVITIES AND COMPLIMENTERY EVENTS RUNNING OVER THE WEEKEND.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL HERE IN LIVERPOOL

Promotion of Div 2 Z Team

Congratulations
Despite a less than convincing performance by their own standards our Division 2 Z Team managed to gain a promotion place into Division1 this weekend at the Hull National Play Offs Tournament.
They now join the select top ten teams in the British National Leagues Division1.

Team:
Alan Barry, George Roots, Graham Webster, Lewis McVey, Kartik McCutcheon and Suryan McCutcheon.

Dependant on their continuing progress with an average age of 18 plus years it should in-auger well for the club going forward.

Well done to them all.

Thanks
Mike Moffitt

Novice Tournaments

Novice Tournaments

Just a reminder that as part of the Go Canoeing Week we will be holding open Novice Canoe Polo tournaments at both of our venues:

25th May        Crosby Lakeside Start Time 1000 a.m.

1st June         Collingwood Dock Start Time 1000 a.m.

There will be a small fee for attending £3.00 most of which will be donated to a local cancer charity.

The Tournaments are all welcoming and hopefully will attract both new starters and current paddlers to our sport.
In the absence of personal playing kit the club will make it's competition equipment available to all of the participants.

Thanks
Mike Moffitt

Stolen Kayaks

Hi I wondered if you could list our 2 kayaks that were stolen some time over the weekend of Saturday 27th April 2013 from Upton in Chester.

1 x Liquid Logic Remix 79 in neon pink  and

1 x Dagger nomad 8.1 in Orange

If anyone is offered these kayaks for sale I would be really pleased if you could contact me, the Remix is particularly noticeable given it's colour.
